Mission Statement

Our mission is to rescue dogs and cats from animal shelters that may otherwise be euthanized due to time limitations, illness, injuries or lack of socialization and training. We are also dedicated to educating the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership.

Susie Fund

Imagine your pet in pain; and then imagine not having the money to buy pain medication. Or worse, having to put your animal to sleep because you can’t afford a needed prescription.

Susie’s Fund was founded by Nina Berkheiser, in memory of her beloved Rat Terrier, Susie, who was treated for cancer at Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic. The purpose of this fund is to help clinic clients get medication for their animals that they otherwise might not be able to afford.

Your gift to the Susie Fund will help get a pet the care it needs.

Donations can be made through our pay pal site (under donate now) or a check can be mailed to Pet Pal Animal Shelter, 405 22nd Street S., St. Petersburg, Fl 33712 (Please write Susie Foundation on the memo line). Thank you for supporting this worthwhile cause!
